And now, we are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our team and grow with us. You do not need years of work experience, we care more about your mindset, technical foundation and eagerness to learn. Let us tell you about the role 📖 As a Junior Data Engineer, you’ll be a part of our central data team and collaborate closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to build and improve our data platform. You’ll play an important role in building the data foundations behind modern AI products and intelligent agents while exploring how AI systems interact with and make use of data in real-world applications. In this role, you’ll also Support data ingestion and pipeline maintenance using tools such as Airbyte and Dataform Write and maintain basic SQL transformations, data models, and data quality checks Help structure and document data models, metrics, and business definitions Support the development of the semantic layer in Omni Investigate data issues and help ensure data is accurate, reliable, and easy to use Your story so far 👀 We are looking for someone who is structured and takes ownership of their work. We believe you are self-driven, communicative and comfortable collaborating with both technical teams and stakeholders. You value quality, enjoy learning and understand the importance of strong foundations when building scalable and reliable data solutions. Furthermore, we believe you have: A degree or recently completed studies in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field Some knowledge of SQL Basic programming experience, preferably in Python An interest in databases, data modeling, analytics, and modern data platforms Curiosity about semantic layers, metrics, information modeling, and AI-driven data solutions You might have experience with some of the following areas, but don’t worry if you don’t, we’re more interested in your overall potential and willingness to learn. School projects, internships, thesis work, or personal projects involving data Data modeling concepts such as facts, dimensions, entities, relationships, or star schema Tools such as Omni, dbt, LookML, Cube, BigQuery, Snowflake, Airflow, or similar Git or other version control tools BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or simila The Nextory way of working 🏠 At Nextory, we believe a strong and inclusive culture is key to our success and that culture flourishes when we meet and collaborate in person as much as possible.
