About the job As a Toxicologist you perform mainly human health hazard and risk assessments for substance registrations; study monitoring of hazard studies is part of this. In your future role as Toxicologist you will Contribute with toxicological expertise in product safety and compliance work related to substance registrations, mainly for EU REACH Commission and validate toxicity studies to be used for human hazard assessments Act as Study Monitor for guideline studies performed in GLP compliant contract research laboratories Compile scientifically based (cost-effective) testing strategies, including grouping and read across Perform human health hazard and risk assessments Advise on the toxicological profile of a substance or product to RD&I and business Communicate complex toxicological matters simply to business Take part in consortia meetings and Cefic networks and/or issue teams We believe you bring Some experience in regulatory toxicology in the chemical industry Some experience in hazard and risk assessments for regulatory purposes Knowledge of (alternative) test methods used in toxicology including higher tier testing Knowledge of regulatory requirements and their potential influence on business A business‑ and solution‑oriented mindset, with the ability to think beyond standard protocols Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and act with integrity Excellent written and spoken English As a person you are flexible and enjoy working in a dynamic and changing work environment. You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills. You also have strong networking skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively both internally and externally.
